Barry M. Markson

Barry Markson joined the firm in 2003 as a partner. He concentrates his practice on automobile liability defense, bad faith, premises liability and municipal liability defense.

Barry has served as a judge pro tem in Maricopa County Superior Court since 2006, specializing in alternative dispute resolution, mediation and settlement techniques. He has served on the board of directors of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel since 2004 and currently sits on the AADC's executive board as treasurer. Barry is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and is a former member of the Maricopa County Bar Foundation board of directors.

He received his law degree from the Arizona State University College of Law in 1994 and his bachelor's degree from Arizona State University in 1991.

Barry is married and has two children. In addition to serving on charity boards, he coaches his sons’ baseball and football teams and serves on the board of directors of the Scottsdale Cal Ripken Baseball League.

In his free time, Barry moonlights as a radio talk show host. He co-hosts the longest running sports radio show in Arizona on XTRA Sports 910 and is a regular and frequent fill-in host on News Talk 550 KFYI in Phoenix.
